Publication in Corporate Reputation Review 2023

„Top managers’ personal branding in a corporate world: Strategizing and overcoming dualities along the career path“. That’s the title of my current publication in the highly regarded journal Corporate Reputation Review. Together with Prof Dr Jörg Henseler and Dr Raymond Loohuis from the University of Twente, I demonstrate practical methods and shed light on the management of dualities – from top managers’ practice and for top managers’ practice. Again, this study is part of Scheidt Consulting Partners’ DNA: We merge science with practice to make implementation rewarding.

PhD Defence - 10 December 2021, University of Twente

“Personal branding of top managers” is an essential part of my work in executive coaching and has been the research subject for my PhD at the University of Twente for the past few years. Last Friday I successfully defended my thesis, assisted by my supervisors Jörg Henseler and Raymond Loohuis and my paranymphs Eveline van Zeeland and Bjorn de Koeijer. Despite all the restrictions, it was a fantastic event at the end of an ambitious and exciting research journey.
Those who want to start or further develop their own personal branding journey may take some inspiration from my dissertation.

Frontiers in Psychology 2020

Personal Branding is on everyone’s lips, including consultants, managers and academics. Everyone has an opinion on it, but does everyone have a clear view of what personal branding is really about? In my latest publication together with Prof. Jörg Henseler and Dr. Carsten Gelhard in the Journal Frontiers in Psychology I give a comprehensive overview and offer numerous perspectives that go far beyond social media presence.

36th EGOS Colloquium - Hamburg 2020

The 36th edition, virtual for the first time: EGOS 2020 brought together researchers from all over the world in more than 100 workshops and study groups over 3 days. The scientific discourse was as usual, of high quality and inspiring. The personal atmosphere was the same as always, but different: We did not travel to one venue, but to the many locations of the participants. My contribution, together with Dr. Raymond Loohuis and Prof. Jörg Henseler from University of Twente on “The value of temporal work in the development of top managers’ personal brands during their career” also went out into the world.

Interviews with top managers on the emergence of their individual personal brand were the basis for a qualitative research paper which I presented at this conference. The official conference paper sheds more light on this topic.

Journal of Product and Brand Management 2018

For the first time, spillover effects between top manager brand and corporate brand were scientifically investigated. My accompanying publication in this internationally recognized journal is also considered one of the few in the world that contributes to the understanding of the personal brand of top managers in an empirical way with high practical relevance.

Herding Sheep 2018

A flock of sheep does not move by itself and reacts immediately to its surroundings. Lively and practical – instead of a circle of chairs in the seminar room – we have also used this unconventional method and contributed to a high level of sensitisation of managers. We developed cooperation and communication in leadership coalitions, but also individual presence and self-organisation together on the meadow and with accompanying reflection and feedback rounds.

Transformation Central & Eastern Europe 2018

Treading unusual paths and rethinking are part of many transformations. In a company from the automotive industry, we have therefore combined methodology, mind-set and location for the transformation workshops. These workshops took place in a Budapest club, among others. Have a look at some impressions:
